Komo mills will grind you fresh, whole grain flour. Sometimes, for some baked goods you may prefer sifted flour. This is where the Komo handheld mesh sieves are helpful. When whole grain flour is ground fine, the fine mesh sieve will remove most of the bran, resulting in a texture similar to pastry flour. The bran remaining in the sieve after sifting whole grain flour can be used in cereal or added to baking. Composed of 0.5 mm metal mesh surrounded by chipped spruce wood the sieve is 18 cm in diameter.
