Fieldstone Organics Soup Mix is a delightful blend of black lentils, green lentils and split yellow peas.

Combine the dry mixture with broth, vegetables, herbs, and spices to create a hearty lentil soup or stew. Simmer until the lentils and peas are tender, and the flavors meld together. You can add diced tomatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, and a variety of seasonings like cumin, coriander, and turmeric to enhance the taste.

Cook the lentil and pea mixture until tender, then let it cool. To create a protein rich salad toss it with fresh vegetables, such as cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, red onions or other seasonal vegetables.  Drizzle with a vinaigrette dressing or a lemon-herb dressing for a nutritious and satisfying salad.

Cooking time is dependent on how soup mix is used and if added dry or cooked in advance.

Pre-soaking reduces the cooking time.

If soup mix is cooked stove top from it’s dry form add water at a 3:1 ratio, bring to a boil and simmer for approximately 40 minutes or until desired consistency.
